Mindfulness of your time and energy and how you spend it is key. Ask yourself in this moment, Who holds my power? You hold your power. When we don’t drift and lose sight of this, the power holds strong and can be developed stronger than ever. One thing you can’t do is redo your moments. These will help you properly assess the situation and guide you to make the best choice possible when you are faced with change or want to make a change. Is this in line with the essence of who I am? Does this celebrate my unique gifts and talents? Do I take responsibility for my emotions, actions, and behavior? How does this impact others around me and the world as a whole? Does this moment or action contribute to my longevity and health? When you use these six questions, you align your heart and open the pathways to change. Nobody can do your work for you, and a lot of effort can be involved. You are ready if you want to stop wishing for it and really start taking action and working for it. This makes me think about attitude and perspective. In those choices, some will be heart based and some will be brain based, as different situations call for different ways of thinking and being. Alas, these are the choices we make. As we make a choice to do the work, we learn we all need one another, and we trade off moments.
That Day Is Done
We all learn from one another and have the opportunity to be lifelong learners with an open mind. Speaking of lifelong learners, in the last class I taught, I certified Deb Landry to be a professional coach. Deb is over sixty and a very respected leader in Maine. She is made up of 100 percent lifelong learner. But, Elizabeth, you say, I feel stuck! I hear you. I feel you and I know. I know what it feels like to feel stuck. I can’t talk about change without having a chat about feeling stuck. People are often stuck, paralyzed even. To get unstuck, you must begin to make choices and take action, but the trick is to be confident and stand behind the choices or actions you take. Responsibility is one of my favorite words because these moments involve taking responsibility for every aspect of our lives. From owning and operating the Best Ever You Network over the years, I’ve helped many people get off their stuck hamster wheel and instead run toward a better and bolder life. None But The Brave
When Kris Fuller joins me, you’ll hear us both say, Be brave, be bold, be you! and we mean it. If this were a screenplay, we’d insert the championship music for you right here. You are unique and incredible. With that in mind, I believe we need to have a chat about unforeseen circumstances. Because it can be so challenging to our entire being, change often feels like an incredible uphill climb with no clear direction. The direction is within you. It is surrounding yourself with love and community and maybe even one day having a positive impact on others with your story. I feel your struggle. I hear stories daily of overcoming struggle and impossible circumstances. I look for them, actually, as they inspire me. Change can be anything. The trick is to take action, and the second step in taking action is to choose. Forcing Yourself To Be Happy
You have a choice in each and every moment of contributing to how the moment plays out. In each and every moment you have an opportunity to be your best, and the responsibility for each moment rests within you and how you choose to bring it from within to external action. Maybe you need to acquire a new skill to facilitate this change. There is so much to think about when it comes to change. To start, grab your coffee, tea, chocolate milk, or whatever suits you personally and shift into the land of unexpected grace. You are blessed beyond measure. You are blessed beyond measure. Many of us forget that when we feel stuck. I’ve worked with Barbara for years, and much of my work is rooted in her systems and the positive energy she brings to everything she does. Barbara has trained thousands of people to be the best coaches they can be and serve their clients with the highest of skills and integrity. One tool we use, as I mentioned earlier, is a vision statement. Now, when I say vision statement, what comes to mind? Many people think it’s like a short mission statement, which is also great. Best Ever You vision statements are written individually for our clients. I have used them for years to achieve my own goals and used them for years with my clients also as a highly successful tool. I think everyone should have personal and professional vision statements! I also think they should be revised at least every six months. With our clients, we write the vision statement, read it multiple times, and even record it so that our clients can listen to it. The statement includes power words, phrases, and sentences that help our clients remove limiting beliefs and subconscious lines of thinking that are no longer serving them properly. It provides encouragement and the direction necessary to chart the course for your best life. Your personal vision statement illuminates a path that is full of infinite possibilities! It removes limiting beliefs, roadblocks, and other obstacles we put in our paths that potentially limit our success. The Best Ever You process helps you take control of your destiny. By crafting realistic goals and taking an honest look at where you are currently and where you want to go, this powerful process ignites your internal passion. Here are two examples of vision statements that some of our coaches wrote for one another as they were becoming certified. With their permission I’ve included them here for you to read now.
