Creating Through Joy, Gratitude, And Excitement

How do they make you feel? When you find yourself feeling joyful and happy or filled with gratitude, you know you’re pointed in the right direction. Ask yourself, How might my life change if I invested fully in this? The magic of your transformation is very cleverly hidden in plain sight. It begins in your family and other systems and expresses through your pain points, dislikes, and likes. All you have to do is realize that the pain and dislikes are old patterns that have outlived their usefulness. They’re asking you to set them down, release the spell, and begin to use them as sources of wisdom. Then, look at what you like and desire. Your dreams and desires and all the things you yearn for are where the gold has been hidden all along. Systems need you to want and imagine the future. It’s how they thrive and grow. You are the dream maker. When I want to accomplish or experience something that brings me joy and fulfillment, I am filled with an absolute sense of excitement and adventure. In this elevated emotional state, I allow myself to vividly imagine having what I want.

Don

Don't Ask Why

I feel and sense how it is to be that person having and doing what excites me. I don’t look at the practicalities and obstacles. I allow myself to have an adventure of imagination, placing myself squarely in the new space, trying my creation on for size, just like I would a new set of clothes. If I really, really like what I’ve created, then I start looking for the smallest step I can take toward experiencing that. Often, it’s a sentence or an insight or a feeling of joy and anticipation. And the more grateful I feel, the more I feed that sense of gratitude, the closer my desire moves toward reality. You are not wasting time. You are consciously investing in yourself and your dream, and doing it with an attitude of relaxed enjoyment. Play is essential here because it doesn’t alert your mind to stir up all the logical reasons why you might not be able to have what you want. It lowers resistance. When I get clear on what I am dreaming into existence, I become super aware of any thoughts or feelings or resistance that might limit me, and I immediately begin to change or attend to those. I write them down and place them on the floor so I can interact with them, feel them, see what they have to say, and resolve any incompletions so that I can shift.

Don't Run Away

I look at where the limiting piece may have started and remind myself that I can change that now. It’s what I was born to do. I am the magician using creativity to grow and transform. The more I love what I am creating, the more I am teaching myself what I can achieve and the closer I am getting to my dream. Playful, Creative Meditation Okay, time to have some fun! Something you’ve always wanted to do or have or be. Don’t limit yourself. You’ll know when you’ve hit on the right thing because you’ll feel excitement building in your body. You’ll feel a sense of joy and fulfillment. Maybe your mouth will water! But above all, get the felt sense of you being that version of yourself. Bask in the feelings that course through you. Allow them in fully. Follow them and see where they lead .

Keep Moving Forward

If something catches your attention and says Yes! remember that picture and that feeling. Create a clear picture and feeling of you in that dream. You are creating a new reality that is out of the old systemic pattern and part of the new you, moving beyond the don’ts and can’ts. Maybe your mother is constantly saying, Nobody likes a loudmouth. You speak out of turn one time and get seriously shut down, and you decide your mother was right. From then on, you unconsciously or consciously accept that it’s dangerous to speak out and that nice people keep quiet. As an adult, you might have great knowledge worthy of sharing, but because you’ve adopted the pattern of being well mannered and quiet, to be safe, you remain silent. This pattern may work for you for quite a while. You might even become known as the quiet, deep, thoughtful one. You might even wear it as a badge of honor or tell yourself, Nobody gets me. You may find yourself resentful or disdainful of people’s shallowness and experience increasing frustration that your wisdom remains unshared. They rightfully passed on words of caution around speaking up, but now you are still reacting to an ancient pattern that’s been shared by the generations right down to your mother and then swallowed by you. I am constantly telling clients that, over time, the details of events fade, but the symptoms get louder and louder until they are seen, resolved, and integrated. A frightening period of enforced quiet and a learned practice of keeping a low profile during the Nazi occupation in order to avoid capture and deportation to a concentration camp is one thing. It is a hindrance, and your loyalty to your pattern keeps you from living a full and wonderful life. Each is in service to the other. The pattern that wants to rest informs and ignites you through various symptoms, and the pattern that wants to emerge helps you pivot and create the new. Limiting issues are often a powerful and helpful sign that something new is needed. There is a pattern in you that is trying to rest. Its usefulness has shifted from being an active pattern of protection to a pattern of learned limitation. You’ve been quiet all your life, and now something in you is bursting to come out. You’re not bad for feeling as you do. It’s life calling you to a new adventure. The old pattern has a place with you and cannot be now excluded.
